Popular Pets

These are the world’s most popular pets. They have an incredible follower count and more fans than most modern day celebrities. Take a look at their accounts and you’ll see why.

It’s impawsible not to smile at Super Scooty. She’s a mixed breed handicapable pup with some very real beginnings. But don’t be fooled by the goofy grin, behind her happy demeanour is a girl who’s tough as nails.

Chester is a red fox who doesn’t let his lack of a limb slow him down. He’s got three legs, a shiny fur coat that would make Lucille Bluth jealous, and a heart of gold. Chester lost his leg while out for a walk with his human and his best friend Spike the border collie in November, 2013.

Monty might not be purr-fect but he’s definitely paw-some. He’s a cat born with a chromosomal abnormality, which causes him to be missing a bone in his nose. It makes him a little more sneezy and a lot more adorable.

Norbert, a 3lb philanthropist mixed breed mutt is one of a kind. He’s a “philosopher, intuitive healer, and fashion-forward snappy dresser”. Or at least his mom thinks so.

Diddy Kong and Yeti Kong are two tiny “finger monkeys” (marmosets) who are living the good life in Miami, Florida. They have over 1 million followers on Instagram, and are famous for their adorable monkeying around. Check out their first viral video below.

In 2012, Claire Stoneman picked up a great dane pup that was the runt of the litter. Little did she know, he would end up being in the Guinness Book of World Records as the world’s tallest dog at 7’6” standing upright. Tipping the scales at over 200 pounds, Freddy towers over his 5’4” human.

Loulou the pug is a SnapChat filter come to life – she puts the bae in basic. No joke, this pug is cuter than anything (and anyone) we’ve ever seen. Loulou’s Instagram was created as a byproduct of Markus Muller’s brainchild, Meet The Pugs.

In Tanzania this summer, a wild lioness was captured on film nursing a lone leopard cub. Lost and alone, the baby somehow found it’s way to the mother lion who nursed it back to health. This is the first documented incident of cross-species behaviour between wild cats.

Part Malamute, part arctic wolf, part husky and all good boy, Loki the Wolfdog is one man’s best friend. Kelly Lund brought Loki home as a pup during a blizzard in 2012. The two immediately started going on adventures together, Lund had Loki backcountry snowboarding when he was only four months old.

Graveskull, her name aptly inspired by Castle Grayskull in the He-Man series, is a persian cat with bright, orange orb-like eyes. She’s a sassy little puss with a badass name and a deeply entrenched love for yoga and home-made toys (like bits of string and newspaper). Graveskull lives in New York with her mom and dad, and two siblings, Señor Taco and Kitkat.
